As producers and Northwest creatives there’s nothing like capturing motion, stills, dialogue and words in the beautiful and scenic locations that make up this region.
A few years back my ex-business partner, Northwest creative and long time friend Jack Kruse introduced me to Matt Biondi who works mostly with small businesses in the Seattle area. Matt’s a veteran Fox Sports sportscaster and he also worked for KIRO in Seattle.
Now his clients are spread out throughout the Puget Sound and this last spring we got the opportunity to film some of them. From pizza at the UW, the spa in west Seattle, and a roofer with a story, we had a really great day of content gathering, plus I filmed State Cup soccer in between his clients at Starfire in Tukwila.
Recently we found ourselves as producers and Northwest creatives back in Seattle again for yet another content gathering mission with Matt and his clients. Traveling the production triangle as I call it – Spokane, Seattle and Portland, I find myself producing content in any one of these three cities during any given month.
The collaboration of Northwest creatives on this particular project was fabulous. I for one love to collaborate, and when you get people together who also work well together, then the creative output can be amazing.
This was one of the funnest productions of the year filming up and coming beverage star Marnie Rae (MarnieRae.com) in the kitchen, on the running trail, and at a local bar.
We worked at three locations filming on a very warm sunny day, which for Seattle can be few and far between. Each location was unique and we were running and gunning from one to the next.
And the Northwest creatives were in full on co-lab mode through out the day!
The running trail was my favorite. The mouth watering non-alcoholic drinks… Well, all I can say here is that I wish I could have tasted more of them.
As a content producer and director, it was a joy and the highlight of our summer production schedule.
