Small business is the lifeblood of so many communities in America. It’s what makes or breaks many local and regional economies and our region sometimes called the Inland Empire is a great example of a small business haven. In the places I’ve lived in Washington State, the Spokane to Coeur’d Alene region has a thriving small business community that we’ve engaged with on many different levels. One of those being trade fairs, expositions and networking functions.
In the Eastern Washington community called the West Plains, it’s time again for the West Plains Chamber of Commerce business to business expo at Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airway Heights.
We previously attended, recorded and captured interview and b roll footage and stills at the Expo back in 2016. It was one of the better businesses oriented expos I had been to in quite some time. Local companies like DeVries, Sunset Floral, Witherspoon Kelly, Airway Fitness, Lake Escapes, Washington Trust and Sunshine Disposal had trade show booths. The attendance was good and there was a very positive vibe on the show floor from start to finish. This is presented in the video we assembled for this year’s West Plains Chamber Biz to Biz function.
What was fun about this event was that three different people from the chamber did the interviewing and this provided a nice mix instead of just a single interviewer. Many times when we do these type of interviews, whether it be on a trade show floor or at a local business, there’s only one person to conduct interviews. The mix of three people worked really well and enabled us to grab lots of great content.
It was a great function and the West Plains Chamber staff did a great job putting it all together. You could say it was one big “Member Moment” gathering session.
More to come…
